Our final stop for the 3 days activities in Singapore was to visit Universal Studio @ Sentosa. We reached there around 11am. However when we reached the ticket counter, we were told that all tickets for the day were sold out! We remembered that we saw a ticket booth near the car park area while we were parking our car. Immediately, David went down to purchase the tickets and we were able to use these tickets. Hooray, we finally got in the theme park without disappointing the girls. In fact these tickets were valid for 3 months.
The park was divided into 7 different themes - Hollywood, Madagascar, FAr Far Away, The Lost World, Ancient Egypt, Sci-Fi City and New York. Although we went on a Monday morning, the park was packed with people. We needed to wait about 45 minutes for 1 ride. We thought that it was too much time to waste especially with the impatient kids. Thus we bought the Universal Express pass. We walked in to all rides without much waiting, just like a VIP while the people in the queue were looking with envy. However, the express ticket only entitled us to 1 time privilege per ride. But it was all worth it especially under the hot scorching sun.
We took all the rides except "Revenge of the Mummy" which is an indoor roller coaster. Alyssa was not tall enough to take. The kids enjoyed all the rides and they seemed to be braver than me as I was screaming away while taking the junior roller coaster.
Both David and I were soaked through while taking the river raft ride. The girls laughed at us since we were the only ones who got wet in our raft.
Overall, it was a fun day and we enjoyed ourself thoroughly. But it was expensive as well, the entrance ticket was @ $68 for adult and @ $48 for child plus the $48 per pax for the Universal Express ticket. In total, we spent $424 for 1 day Universal Studio plus another $20 for the parking fee.
