Animal Bento Sushi

During March holiday, the girls learnt how to make Animal Bento sushi at Nex.  They were all geared up to make their Bento set.

The little chefs at work.  Cutting and decorating all ingredients.

These are their masterpiece.  The one on top was made by Alyssa and the one on the bottom was made by Breanna.

The 2 great chefs holding their masterpiece with a great smile. They were so proud of their creations.

They can't wait to eat their bento set once reached home.  Yum Yum...

Cycling and Blading at ECP

The girls had a great time at the ECP during the March holiday.Alyssa was cycling on a tricycle so it was still manageable for her.

Breanna rode the bicycle but she was not able to balance.  She still require Daddy to coach her and help her to balance.  加油 Breanna!!

The girls also tried out roller blading.  They were not able to balance at all.  It was very difficult and basically they were just holding on to Daddy throughout the blading session.

Alyssa's 1st day in PLMGS

Time really flies. Alyssa finally went to P1.  She was all ready for her new learning journey.

Parents were not allowed to bring the kids up to the hall.  Alyssa was very brave to go up the staircase all alone without any tears! Well Done Alyssa.  Mummy is proud of you!

They were on buddy system for the first 3 days of school.  This is Angela from 5 Faith taking good care of Alyssa during her recess time!  Thank you Angela.

This was what happened during recess time.  All anxious parents were crowding around the canteen to spot their own daughters.  And making sure that their kids are being well taken off!

Chicken Pox

During the December school holiday, both Breanna and Alyssa caught chicken pox just before our trip to Hong Kong.  Breanna started first and she had quite a number of pox on her face, body and legs as well. After she recovered, Alyssa got it and fortunately, it was just a few pox for her.  We still proceed to our Hong Kong Trip so that they girls did not get disappointed.  Doctor had given her antibiotic to control so that she will recover on time. We were told that the chicken pox vaccine that was given previously was not very effective.  We will still get it despite the vaccine.

人间自有真亲在

奶奶 bought us tickets to attend her choir concert at Singapore Conference hall on the 21 Nov 2010.

The kids went but Alyssa was not able to appreciate the music.  Luckily, they saw their cousins there and joined them.  Otherwise, they will not be able to sit through the whole concert which lasted for around 2 hours.

Alyssa's P1 orientation @ PLMGS

Nov 13, 2010 was Alyssa's P1 orientation @ PLMGS. We went there early in the morning to attend the talk. When Alyssa reached there, she was shy as usual and requested her 姐姐 Breanna to join her as she was required to sit with her new classmates.

While the parents are attending the talk, all the children were taken to their classroom by their form teacher.  Alyssa was in 1 Faith and her form teacher is Mrs Jacqueline Low.  Breanna followed them to Alyssa's classroom but escaped halfway to join us.

After the talk, we went to the classroom to fetch Alyssa. She was happy playing with the other kids and was sweating all over.  She enjoyed very much and even told me she want to come again tomorrow. :)

Alyssa's Graduation Concert

It's been a month since I last update.  It's been a busy month.  Alyssa had her graduation concert and Breanna had just finished her SA2 exam this week.  So now finally i had time to update the blog.

Alyssa had some make up on her full dress rehearsal for the graduation concert.  She was very shy since it was her first time to put on make up.  She used her hand to cover her face when she reached the school.  She even cried and refused to go in her class.  Finally after much persuasion from her teacher, then she went in.

We bought the ticket @ S$35 for the graduation concert.  It was held at Singapore conference hall.  This event was jointly organised by kinderland East zone only.  It includes Kinderland Marine Parade, Serangoon and Yio Chu Kang.
4 of us went to watch the concert.  奶奶, Daddy, Breanna and me.  We had quite a good seat as it was the 1st row of the 2nd section.  The kids got to watch in the hall in front of us and we had a chance to watch Alyssa up close before she went up the stage.

This was the grand entrance of Alyssa and her classmates.  They were introduced by one of her classmates onto the stage.

Alyssa performed her dance "小小兵“.  I was proud of her as she used to be so timid that she will cry when she entered school until beginning of K2. It was really a great milestone for her. I was very touched to see this performance.

Pictures

Recently, we had bought some scrapbook materials.  We took some polaroid photos of the girls and they decorate their photos on the album.  These are their masterpiece.  They are very nice, isn't it? They got it display in their bedroom.

Alyssa's tooth drop

Last Wednesday, Alyssa's tooth dropped. Finally her milk teeth is starting to drop and waiting for her new permanent teeth to grow.  She woke up that morning and found that her gum was bleeding.  The tooth at her lower gum had been shaking for weeks already.  奶奶 just shook the tooth slightly and the tooth dropped off without causing her pain.

Alyssa's Piano Concert

After Breanna's piano concert, it was Alyssa's piano concert.  This was also the last day of her JMC course which marks the 2 years completion of her course.  Currently, there were 6 students in the class and all will proceed to the next stage. JXC. One of the student was absent for the concert.

Alyssa was very brave.  She sang the song "Feeling Great Yeah!"and performed a piano piece "Little Red Shoe" both from book 4.

They also have some group performance using percussion instruments such as bells, tamberine and castanets.

Changi Airport

Last Saturday, we went to Changi Airport to fetch 奶 奶 from her Shanghai trip.  We were there early so we went to the kids corner at Terminal 3.  The girls were enjoying scratching the picture.

This is the longest slide in Singapore.  There are 2 slides - the shorter one is free but the longer one requires spending of $30 which entitles you to 2 tokens free.

Of course the girls will not miss the slide.  They went for the shorter one since it was free.  Fortunately, Alyssa was tall enough to ride as it requires a minimum height of 1.1m.  While I was waiting downstair for the girls to slide down, we were able to see each other on the TV screen.
