Finally Breanna is in Primary 1. Today is her first day to school and everyone was excited. David and me took leave to ensure that she adapts well to the new environment.
Once the bell rang, all children will have to go up the stairs to the hall by themselves. No parents were allowed to go up. It was a rather frightening experience for Breanna. She almost teared when she was at the entrance of the hall didn't know where to go. Fortunately, there was a teacher helping her to find her class. When we saw her again, it will be during recess time.
A buddy from P4 students were assigned to each of the new students. The buddy will teach them how to buy food and take care of them during recess time. All parents were just crowding around the canteen looking for their child. We were not allowed to enter the canteen so as to let the children be more independent. During the waiting time, the school also organized some parenting talks for the parents.
